Michael Rak

Michael Rak is a Partner at Lender Legal PLLC, specializing in foreclosure litigation and various other real estate law matters.

Originally from DeLand, Florida, Michael attended the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. He went on to attend Florida State University College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in August 2008.

Michael began his legal career as a litigator with a firm in Maitland, Florida, specializing in foreclosure defense, consumer/debtor bankruptcy, debt negotiation, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act cases, and Social Security disability claims. During his time with his prior firm, Michael appeared in matters at the state, federal, and administrative levels, and was an active member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives.

Michael joined Lender Legal in August 2013. He became a partner of the firm in 2019. During his time at Lender Legal, Michael has appeared on numerous panels at conferences and written numerous law articles. He has been an active member of the Amicus Committee for the American Legal and Financial Network and is currently vice-chair of the committee.

Michael oversees all activity in the Illinois office while assisting with the firm's Florida office and overall firm operations.
