Phillip Barragate

Phillip has over 28 years of experience in the mortgage servicing industry. He has focused his practice in areas of creditor’s rights litigation, real estate, title insurance, and bankruptcy. Phillip has represented lenders, servicers of FHA, VA, USDA, conventional, GSE loans, and private investors throughout his career. His industry associations include the MBA, ALFN and Legal League 100.

Phillip has been lead counsel on numerous appeals that served to establish creditor’s rights case precedent in Ohio. He practices in both the state and federal courts. His experience includes speaking engagements and published articles regarding mortgage related law and title insurance. Phillip is also a licensed title agent in Ohio and Indiana, and he has served as underwriting counsel for multiple title insurance companies.
